Kim Walker Smith is a singer-songwriter, worship leader, and founding member of the Jesus Culture, a global worship movement. For over fifteen years she has played a major role in influencing worshippers and worship teams around the world toward a passionate pursuit of Jesus. Today Kim lives just outside of Sacramento, California with her husband Skyler, their two boys Wyatt and Bear, and daughter Maisie.  When she’s not leading worship at her church Jesus Culture Sacramento, she travels internationally to lead others into genuine encounter with Jesus. Inspiring and authentic! Her testimony is a great example of a person who keeps seeking after the Lord through all of the ups and downs of the Christian walk. Kim writes in a way that is so authentic. I felt connected with her from very early on in the book. My heart broke for the circumstances she described and a few times some tears slipped out when what she was sharing paralleled my reality very intimately. By breaking down the barriers and being very real with what she experienced early on it was easy to continue to believe her when she shared some of her God moments, some of those stories that are very difficult for a reader who hasn't experienced anything like that to believe in. I finished this book with a hopeful heart as I enter into a new season of life. I feel assurance in knowing I'm not walking through the fire alone and a renewed endurance to be brave and continually relinquish control to God in order to grow.

As a child of God listening to Kim Walker Smith explain her own encounters with the LORD it is such a blessing. I always viewed her as someone who had everything figured out.
