- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I could probably listen to Annie read just about anything. But the truth and vulnerability she shares is courageous, inspiring and timely. For those who have had their heart broken “by God”, listen to this and know you aren’t alone and let her help you see the brokenness and disappointment through a different lense.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I feel like I'm listening to someone read my story. I know its not the same story, but it feels that way. This is what makes Annie, Annie. She is relatable, real, vulnerable, and her words hold weight in a world where there isn't much of that. It's hard to be real in a fake world, but authors like her, stories like hers, are what helps make the world a better place.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book spoke the answer to a question I didn't realize I was asking. If you feel forgotten by God and disappointed by the way your life has unfolded Annie gets you and through this book she will share vulnerably her own journey to remembering the goodness of God.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Everything Annie F. Downs transforms from thought to words on a page is full of heart. She's so real and always makes me remember who I am and what is real. I needed this book.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5In a time when I was struggling to believe that God is kind, this book couldn't have been more timely. I appreciate the authenticity that Annie shares her story with because really it encouraged me to keep believing that even with the limps, He still has been kind and always will be even if this kindness doesn't look like what I would like it to. Do read it!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book met me exactly where I am. Thank you!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I wonder what happens between Annie and her friend John?? In Annie’s epilogue she said John looked her in the eye and said that she wasn’t too much for him. It seems to me that Annie’s husband is, and always has been, right in front of her. I hope she realized this at some point, otherwise she may miss the open door that John gave her.
I liked the book. I want to know more of Annie’s story from “Remember God” forward. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Annie F. Downs spoke to my soul in a way that I so deeply needed for this season of life. The conversational tone, the prayer at the beginning, the revelations from scripture were all so poignantly necessary for my heart. It sent me on my own quest to answer the question, “Do I believe God is always kind?” I will continue to ponder this book for a long time, and I’m sure I’ll come back to it.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I loved this book. It spoke to me on so many levels.
