What a fabulous book! Loved the banter between Cecily and David!

Ten years ago, Jeffrey broke things off with his fiancée, Cecily, without explanation. Now, he's determined to win her back. Can he convince her to give him a second chance?

This is a well-constructed, well-written romance novel, especially if you enjoy interfering parents who are over-involved in their adult children's lives. Personally, I found most of the characters to be toxic. Cecily believes herself to be supportive of Jeffrey—yet despite how rocky her relationship is with her mother, ultimately, Cecily is much like her.

I'm sure there are other readers who will enjoy the tough love and lack of emotionality in this book. The audio narration was well done.

Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.
