Jane Renshaw is the author of several psychological thrillers, including The Stepson, The Child Who Never Was, and the Pitfourie Series. Her writing career began after she discovered that she didn't have what it takes to be a scientist and shuffled sideways into scientific and medical editing. Excellent book however the Australian narrators accents were SHOCKING!! could get through her parts of the “scottish” accent that sounded like hagrid for most of it but the penultimate chapter was totally ruined by her “soft Welsh” and Scottish accents that made the characters sound like 18th century pirates with speech impediments!!! I don’t want to be picky but the ending was ruined for me because I couldn’t stop laughing at the long John silver accents
