About this audiobook

The second book from J A Andrews, author of Mummy’s Boy.

The only thing she was guilty of was trusting him...

All Jenny Clifton ever wanted was to be the ideal wife and mother. When she married Michael in a fairytale wedding, followed by the birth of baby Daniel, her life was complete.

Yet just three years later, the shine has faded. Now, money is tight, and the occasional argument has become daily screaming matches between Jenny and Michael.

Something needs to change… and it does, when Michael is killed in a brutal hit and run, breathing his last with a stranger holding his hand.

Lonely and distraught, Jenny strikes up an unlikely friendship with the witness to the accident, clinging to the connection with the man who watched Michael die.

But as she uncovers the secrets that her husband was keeping, Jenny realises that her perfect life may have been a perfect lie - and worse, that her new friend may be harbouring dangerous secrets of his own…

A gripping, twisty psychological thriller packed with suspense and a jaw-dropping ending. Fans of T.M. Logan, C.L. Taylor and K.L. Slater won’t be able to put this one down.

JA Andrews is the author of gripping twisty psychological thrillers, Mummy's Boy (2020) and You Let Him In (2020).

As well as writing fiction, JA Andrews enjoys reading a mix of genres, watching various reality TV and spending time with family and friends. He is a member of the Crime Writers Association.

A good story line, virtually from the beginning the story had my attention, many twists and the ending was the biggest twist, leaving you wanting more. Thoroughly enjoyed it. I hope he carries on and write more.

This book was OK. I saw through it early on but listened to the end anyway. It could have been a few chapters shorter because the first half of the book was pretty much the same in each chapter. Grieving wife lots of tears no motivation and back round again. Eventually there is a story but then it's all rushed murderer telling you everything you need to know in one chapter! It could have been better because the idea was really good. Just needed somthing else to give it a bit of interest. Sorry not for me but I wouldn't say don't listen/read. Just don't expect too much

I enjoyed this book because it has unusual twists and turns, keeping me on the edge of my seat, while making bread! Impressive for a relatively new (at the time) writer. I will be looking up his other books.
I very much appreciated the note at the end from J.A. to his readers. The personalization and background information was very interesting and refreshing.
Hey Gary, I bet he DOES take all of your ideas…the things we do for ❤️ ah, the things we do for love.

Well worth reading or listening to. I couldn’t stop listening it had me engrossed. A thriller that’s both written and narrated well and keeps you guessing right to the end.

Too dragging…..should have just read the last 3 chapters alone and I would have still gotten the essence of the story

Good story but I figured it out early on. Slow moving in some areas . Jenny was super naive. Or stupid or both. I am sure there are people like her, but I do not know any. Michael must have been a very good actor. Donna was a bit of a stereotype. Peter and Daniel seemed to be the only non-agenda’s people with morals.

Another great thriller. I had some ideas of what the twist was early on but again it changed a couple times. My feelings of Donna got worse as the book went on. The writings really make you hate her.
I look forward to reading your next one.
    Thank you

The book kept me interested the whole way through. I didn’t see the end coming at all.
