IN LOVE WITH A SERIAL KILLER

Elizabeth Kloepfer fell in love with Ted Bundy the moment she laid eyes on him. “He took my breath away,” she says of the man she spent six years with, and trusted with raising her daughter. Their romance was blissful … right up until the moment he was arrested for kidnapping and attempted murder.

Now, after 40 years. Kloepfer, who now uses the pseudonym Kendall, was 24, a recent divorcee and a single mum with low self-esteem when she met Bundy in a bar in Seattle in October 1969. In contrast, Bundy, then 22, was charismatic and assured, an aspiring lawyer who could potentially give her the dream family she’d always wanted.
