I have liked the other books by this author so I had high hopes. Lyla was pathetic as a main character with the emotional maturity of a preteen who thinks she knows everything. Half of the book was her getting into trouble because she was an idiot. The story itself was pretty good with some alright twists. Also, I'm not sure what the other commenter considers "smut" but this book isn't it ?. If you're offended by the words "sex" or "horny" then maybe it will be too much for you.

Called the twist within the first few chapters. Was bored out of my mind the rest of the way through. Got to about 30 minutes of listening time left (that's at 1.5x listening speed) and I just couldn't do it anymore. Marked it finished and moved on with my life.

Random unnecessary smut. Really disappointed as I was interested in the story.

Definitely didn’t see the end coming. Some of the talk about Tiffany was repetitive and unnecessary….but, this was great! Can’t wait to read/listen to more by this author.

I’m a fan of some of her books! But Mrs Beevis definitely has a formula to all her books and some I’ve enjoyed so much I keep coming back to her. But this one annoyed me so much I almost DNFd this so many times. Her usual strategy to write strong female characters, failed miserably. The stupid romance between the two main characters over shadowed the entire plot! And the violence against women is getting too much! I’d love to see her explore new formulas and stray away from deranged serial killers who kill women!

I really enjoyed this book-I didn’t see the twist at the end. I thought the narrator did a great job and I’m really liked the ending?

This was a great find! I really enjoyed listening throughout the entire book. The Narrator was one of the best I have listened to in a long time.

I like this one a lot. There were good twists and turns and it was narrated well. I wanted to rush through it to see what would happen. It does have a bit of the ‘helpless woman’ trope and the bits of miscommunication that inevitably send the characters into more trouble than they need to be, that’s why it’s a 4/5 for me. None the less, it was entertaining and I’d recommend it

It's well written, everything is just alright. But I was aware of the plot from early on and didn't find this book too thrilling..

Keri Beevis just maybe my new favorite author! Although I had most things figured out, I enjoyed the ride until the very end! Great mix of everything.

BORING DRUDGERY!! I got about 8hrs in and wanted to kill myself for wasting my life in this way. Kept falling asleep on it and rewinding only to find myself falling asleep again. Pointless.
