About this audiobook
After a twenty-year journey across space, the mysterious and dreaded Namadi fire ships are arriving. Their mission to destroy five civilizations will cost the lives of billions across the galactic sector if the ships can’t be stopped in time. The only hope to defeat them hinges on the success of a daring operation.
In a desperate race against time, Darrien Norris and Onallin Rantara must lead a team of commandos to a remote world in search of crucial information to destroy their enemy. The Namadi are drawing closer and where their foe is scheduled to emerge is the most prized secret in galactic history—one they are prepared to kill for.
With surprises waiting at every corner, Darrien and Onallin have no choice but to trust new allies before it’s too late.
Time is against them, and the race for survival has begun.

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Only part of one chapter? Where’s the rest the book?
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Did my hold my interest at all, bored and a bit creepy.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5The narration is hard work, and the story line develops poorly.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Unbelievably bad. Weird pseudo-erotica set in a bizarre squeaky animal voice. Yup. Freak show of words.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Just perfect sci-fi. I look forward to reading the authors other work!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The third book in a series is disappointing. It is a predictable war story, without much nuance or mystery, no science fiction, no twist, with little moral back bone to hold it all together. The battles between advanced spacefaring civilisations are still fought with guns and granades?
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Sucks only made it 5 minutes into it the voice was awful
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5You know that feeling when you are at the end of a good book or series, I feel that way know I had fun now I am sorry it is over.
It's time to find a new book hopefully it will be just as good.1 person found this helpful

This book provides a wonderful end to the Specimen Chronicles series. The series provided gripping storytelling from its start with Specimen 959, published in 2017. The second volume, Echoes of Escharam was published the following year. It has been a long wait to read the conclusion, but it was certainly worth the wait.
I have read a few negative reviews regarding the complexity of the plot and the large number of characters. I have some sympathy with this and in truth I can't recommend this as a stand-alone book for those reasons. It must be quite bewildering to read The Primus Initiative if you have not read its predecessors. However if you have read them then the cast of characters is simply a delight and you will be very eager to find out how the story concludes for each of them. This is an epic story with the satisfying complexity and intrigue of Dune.
The full story begins with the first human contact with alien species and continues with the building of an alliance between most of those species and one deadly foe who xenophobia leads them to want to destroy all other sentient beings in the universe. Woven into that basic framework are many sub-plots. The characters are all well developed, over time, and feel three dimensional. The plot includes elements of political intrigue, criminal activity, romance and building strong relationships between friends across interspecies boundaries.
The series is a tour de force and I wholeheartedly recommend it.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5So hard to connect with or care about any of the characters with the narrator making every voice annoying as heck. He is so overly dramatic when describing scenes, it's distracting. Makes every female character sound petty or overbearing. Calm down, broski. Simple is better than overreaching.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Clearly disappointing. A third, or more, of the book is lost in past references. It could be understood as a way to build up the characters, but not so. Just a few maneuvers, some gunfire, and that's all the rest.
