Echoes of Esharam is the sequel to Specimen 959. If you enjoyed the previous book, you will likely enjoy Echoes as well. I strongly recommend reading the first book as Echoes continues immediately where Specimen 959 ends. This time, the story is more centered on the two main characters, which is unfortunate as I would like to have learned more about the secondary characters. However, there isn't much in the way of new character development even for the main characters. In the end, it didn't seem like a lot was accomplished during the book, but I am curious what the future holds for the various races and the great evil enemy that they will be facing.

This books picks up right where the first book in the series leaves off. The second book is more easily digestible than the first, as one is already familiar with most of the characters. After Norris' escape from Bera Nima in the first book, he finds out in the second book that his job isn't done. He discovers that the aliens who made his escape from prison possible had erased his memory of his encounter with them before. Norris must come to terms with the fragmented nature of his life.

This is the 2nd book of The Specimen Series. The first book introduced to you the characters and their histories this book takes you on an adventure like no other. It's a wonderful addition to the series and I can't wait for the next book.

This was an interesting novel. The prose was easy to read, and the plot moved at a reasonable pace. This allowed me to become engrossed at times. I did, however, find it a bit too long in some parts. Overall I would recommend, would be great for a long train journey
