About this audiobook
A Riveting Story of Survival After the Catastrophic Destruction of America’s Power Grid Throws the Country into Darkness and Chaos
Days have turned into weeks with no contact from anyone outside of North America, where the power, communication and transportation grid has been completely destroyed by massive solar flares. In the ensuing chaos, grocery store shelves have been stripped bare and panicked survivors have fled the cities and towns, sweeping across the countryside in a desperate attempt to find sustenance and avoid the violence.
Artie Drager has risked everything to sail from the West Indies to New Orleans, where his daughter Casey was attending college. Finally catching up with her after discovering she had long since evacuated the city with her friends, Artie’s plan to get her to safe refuge on his brother’s sailboat begins to fall apart. Artie and his daughter must fight to survive, and hard choices must be made when part of their crew fails to return before they must set sail.
This sequel to THE PULSE explores the descent into anarchy that occurs when everything familiar in modern life is suddenly stripped away and survivors must adapt to a harsh new reality or die.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Very engaging book on audio. Very descriptive, made u feel Luke u were there
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Yes, it would happen this way. Instead of coming together when the entire town is in danger, a few weak men, bullies, will let their hatred reign. Lovely ending ?
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I really loved and can't wait for book 3 ?
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I love it! Can’t wait for book 3, thank you
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5If you enjoyed the first book, you'll probably like this one too.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Accessible and not very gory. Characters were a bit too simple and dialogue could’ve been better.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I liked the descriptions about the people, places and things that were encountered in this novel
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5My own complaint about the book because the book is really good is the 22 long rifle pistol it's not an automatic pistol it is a 22 long rifle semi-automatic pistol it fires one shot at a time for every trigger pull you push and automatic pistol it would be you hold the trigger down and it'd be firing multiple shots other than that the book is great.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Wow even in apocalypse times there’s a love story. Come on man! Really? Can’t we have a book with good old fashioned action and leave love behind for another time. On top of that the reader was choppy, emotionless and lacked inflection.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Loved the adventure. Violence was more in your mind than drawn out within the prose so kept the horror to a minimum. Great listen. Can’t wait to listen or read more from this author. The narrator is not anywhere near as bad as other reviewers state and anyone who passes this up from that is missing a great story read by a real person that’s not been edited, just like listening to stories read to me while growing up.
