Before having this book suggested to me by my fiancee, I had never heard of it; however, after having binge read it, I can say this book is wonderful! It is cute, wholesome, and pulls on your heartstrings in all the right ways. There were plenty of times this book had me grinning or even laughing out loud. I would wholly recommend this book to anyone who has a soft spot for sweet kids and loving adults.

Not enough words to say how much I adored this book. Easy to get lost in. Great character development. This is one of the best voice work that I've ever heard ! The narrator manages to do more than 8 voices (children and adults) and renders perfectly the characters. As for the writing it is perfect. The story is very original and I enjoyed the snarkiness of some characters. It is also very rare to have a main character who is fat and gay and this is not presented as a problem that should be solved. All in all an amazing feel good story
