I loved it. Funny and lovely. I adore JL's writing. The characters are on point. And Mark did an amazing job. Perfect.

This book was cute and quirky. Sometimes I laughed out loud. Michael is likeable,somehow despite his brash and cold exterior...he's likeable --especially as the book goes on. Initially he's a bit ...whole- package toxic masculinity. Then again, I think that's the whole point, innit.
Not reading too much into it and tossing aside your soapbox (yeah, there's a bit of cringe if you're super sensitive to it). Overall, It's a lighthearted story with a happy ending. It's fun and engaging. It's not gutting or particularly deep. This kind of book is perfect for getting through chores or a walk around the neighborhood. No unexpected tears or bursts of uncontrollable laughter...just a fun story. In short, I would read more books by this author and if you're looking for an entertaining light read, go for it!

I really enjoyed this romantic comedy. There's plenty of humour in the book and I liked spending time with the characters in the Isle of Wight. Mark Steadman's narration brings the characters to life.
