About this audiobook
Your next journey could be your last...
When a packed commuter train runs over a body on a stretch of track known to locals as ‘Suicide Mile’, it soon transpires that the man was a victim of a calculated murder.
As the investigation evolves and a pattern of murders is uncovered, Detective Sergeant Kay Hunter realises the railway’s recent reputation may be the work of a brutal serial killer.
With a backlog of cold cases to investigate and attempting to uncover who is behind a professional vendetta against her, Kay must keep one step ahead of both the killer and her own adversaries.
When a second murder takes place within a week of the first, she realises the killer’s timetable has changed, and she’s running out of time to stop him…
Will to Live is the second book in a thrilling police procedural series featuring Detective Kay Hunter from USA Today bestselling author Rachel Amphlett.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Book ok, decent story but I just can't get passed the narrator. She emphaisises every letter in every word and there is no natural flow to the way she tells a story. I listened all the way through, thinking I'd get used to it but it just distracted far too much from the story.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I have a real phobia of train lines and so this was... *shiver* ..! But I enjoyed it and am going straight onto number 3 ..!

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Note: This is Book 2 in the series but works well as a stand alone.I enjoyed Book 1 but I enjoyed this book just a tad more. I got to know more about Kay Hunter as a new series of murders keep her busy and her desire to find out who framed her for some missing evidence complicates her life. Kay is someone I would like to have a beer with and talk cop stuff. The series of murders was interesting. It involved trains and possible suicides. It took Kay and her team some time to put it all together, to find the common thread that could lead them to the murderer. Kariss seems to be a bit competitive in this story. I think she has a deep need to prove herself and so she volunteers to help with everything and takes it personally when Kay takes one of the other young pups on an errand. The side plot involving the missing evidence dates back to before the series even starts so don’t feel like you’re missing something from Book 1 over this because there was very little about it in Book 1. I was very glad to see that this little side string wasn’t dropped by the author. Kay, even though she’s past the professional work ethics inquiry, still has her own need to know who messed with that evidence and set her up. I can see how this little plot could develop into something big for a future book.Over all, the plot is tighter and the characters more fully formed than in Book 1. Once again, the readers get little glimpses from inside the head of the killer without being given the name of the killer. So there’s a cat & mouse game element as we watch the good guys struggle to identify and capture the bad guys. 5/5 stars. The Narration: Alison Campbell does a pretty good job. She sounds like the perfect Kay Hunter – insightful, tough, determined. Her other female voices are well done. Sometimes her male voices blend together or sound like women. There’s no technical issues with the recording. 4/5 stars.I received this audiobook as part of my participation in a blog tour with Audiobookworm Promotions.
