This author was recommended to me by my niece and this was the first book I have read by her. The story develops quite slowly but the descriptions of the various characters and surroundings build up a picture which makes the story come alive. The reader can almost feel the underlying tension in the house and it makes the book a real page turner. I found I was saving the end of the book because I didn't want to finish it. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who likes a tense, suspense thriller which isn't all about violence on every page. The storyline was very clever with so many twists and turns it was difficult to foresee the ending until close to the finish which I liked. I hate working out the story half way through and this book will definitely keep you guessing.

Not scary at all, mediocre story with a ludicrous plot. Disappointing. "The Woman in Cabin 10" is better.
