About this audiobook
There's an uneasy and unholy alliance building across the Caribbean. Few in the U.S. government want to believe that a Third World country and its chest-thumping leader could pose a credible threat-but then why are the Chinese helping to train its special forces? Why are the Russians helping to build a nuclear power plant?
Charley Castillo and his men go in to investigate, but they have no idea what they have just gotten themselves into. By the time they finish connecting the dots, they will be on the hit lists of the Kremlin, the Cubans, the Venezuelans, and the drug cartels-and totally out on their own. Whatever happens next, they'll have to do it by themselves.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I think this is the best Presidential Agent book since the first one by WEB Griffin alone. Abrupt ending aside, which I hope will be picked up in the next book, III and IV present a page-turning story of a pariahed agent (Castillo) working behind the scenes and against the wishes of an ever-increasing insane president to rescue an old friend kidnapped in Mexico. Castillo also has to deal with the fact that the kidnapping is related to those in the world who, quite simply, want him dead. This is one I could not put down.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Geez! Whacko president and our hero dodges the bullet once again. You gotta wonder if the author created a president from a combination of W Bush and Lyndon Johnson....mostly the latter. Paranoid, controlling and micromanaging. On to the last and newest book in the series.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I would consider myself a very real fan of W.E.B Griffin and Covert Warriors stands apart from his other efforts... and not in a good way. While I have felt the closing of many of Griffin's books overly abrupt and/or "rough", the stories and characters held your interest to that very end - that is not the case in Covert Warriors. Unlike the entire of his earlier and later books, this story and its characters seem very disconnected - as does the whole flow of Covert Warriors' action.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5An overall disapppointing book. There is a lot of history of what had gone on before under this genre. The writing is crisp, as one has come to expect of Griffin but this book does not advance the overall story.
