About this audiobook
There are just some things she'd never be caught doing. Chattering away on her cell phone about the latest family drama while in line at the grocery store? Never. Updating her Facebook status in the middle of a conversation with a friend? Certainly not. Spouting off her political opinions in mixed company? Not her style. Fumbling through airport security with complicated shoes and a misplaced boarding pass? Wouldn't think of it. Being a lady isn't necessarily getting easier these days, but the importance of a woman's refined influence has never been more important. How to Be a Lady reiterates the timeless notions of gracious womanhood, while reconsidering what it means to be a lady in a changing world.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I am one of those individuals who feels that being a lady is sometimes overrated. Sometimes, there are situation that call for being a red-blooded woman, and that involves the occasional temper tantrum, the lack of courtesy, the excuse to just be a royal b**** once in awhile, and not care what a lady would do in your situation. However, I did find this to be a helpful book-telling you what is (and is not appropriate) for social situations and one's personal life. There are some things a lady would do, that I agree with, such as, if throwing a dinner party, do not let guests drive home drunk if they are intoxicated. However, there are other items I strongly disagree with, such as being a bridesmaid even when one does not really want to.The advice is good, but some should be taken with a grain of salt. I would rather be doing things that make me happy vs. being a lady just to appear polite for society.
