AS YET another round of loadshedding hit I wondered about the people who have the responsibility of making sure we don’t get stuck in the dark forever.
Are there some on the team who are more generous with the switch, giving us that extra 10 minutes to boil a kettle? Do they stay calm even during the worst outage crisis and do they keep cool when South Africans are enraged about yet another round of power cuts?
How do they ensure the lights go on and off everywhere without major messes? And how do they unwind when things really get tough?
