Beef mince ranges from fewer than 5g fat to almost 20g per 100g. Extra lean beef mince (also labelled five-star mince) is much lower in saturated fat and calories than regular mince. Pre-cut vegie stir-fry mixes are handy when you’re short on time but still want to boost the vegie content. Try brown rice for twice the fibre of white, plus higher nutrients, such as B2, B3, iron, manganese and magnesium.
