Must I give up carbs?

I love bread and pasta and I’d really miss them… I seem to be in the minority having a Despite what the growing army of wellness bloggers and lifestyle gurus would have us believe, carbs are not bad for us. In the UK we tend to eat the wrong type – highly refined and processed carbs, which have been stripped of their nutrients and fibre, but are full of fat, salt and/or sugar. Experts agree that carbs are an important part of a healthy balanced diet, so don’t cut them out – opt for low-GI, fibre-rich carbs, like wholemeal bread, beans and pulses, and wholegrain cereals.
