Lane Palmer is an assassin known as "The Hawk" and is feared throughout the world by terrorist organizations. His friend, FBI agent Pat O'Neill, is in charge of the highly secretive "Counter Force," an agency created to correct errors in justice. By accident Hawk uncovers a conspiracy to overthrow several major governments, U.S. included. Now he is a target, hunted by an assassin named Omega, and he's leading killer robots. Hawk's investigation to solve the conspiracy leads to the highest levels in government, and he becomes suspicious of everyone, including his friend and boss, Pat O'Neil.

Lane Palmer is an American assassin known as "The Hawk" and is feared throughout the world by terrorist organizations. He works for Counter Force, a secret department of the FBI. After saving President Conway and exposing Secret Service Chief Alan Powell as a traitor, Lane becomes the target of an assassin named Omega. Omega's purpose is to kidnap Lane Palmer and deliver him to the Islamic terrorists in Libya for a large reward. Additionally, this act will get his own death sentence removed from the Libyan list.

Lane Palmer is an American assassin known as "The Hawk." A cuestick laser gun that was used to kill four militia rebels caught the attention of Counter Force and leads Lane Palmer into a search that involves conspiracy and murder. In addition to that, someone in the military is secretly trying to get the United States into a war with China. Lane must find the man who killed the rogue rebels and take possession of the laser gun. The mysterious man's name is Rand, and some believe he is an alien from another world.

Now Palmer is charged with guarding the life of an unusual high school athlete, Rodney Marcus. Destined for football fame, Rodney's life is instead changed in a tragic accident leaving him unable to play, but possessing a strange gift of voices. At first the youth thinks he's losing his mind, but then one of the voices materializes as either an angel or alien foretelling the future. Rodney's predictions are 100% accurate, and soon others want to use his voices for their own reasons. However, the alienangel has another purpose in mind. He reveals a plan which involves Lane Palmer, the life of the U.S. President, and the world's survival.

Lane Palmer, formerly "The Hawk" assassin for a secret government agency, is called out of retirement by Counter Force Director Pat O'Neil to help foil a terrorist assassination plot on U. S. President Emerson. The terrorists are rumored to have connections with local residents, and Counter Force's Director, Pat O'Neil, needs "The Hawk" to investigate. A local man with a mysterious past, known as "Saint Nick" to area children, becomes the center of Palmer's suspicions. Defeating one plot reveals a more sinister plan underway. The target isn't the president, but his wife and children. The Hawk's plans fail when two of his best agents are ambushed, and the President's daughters disappear on the ski slopes in a sudden winter storm. The mysterious "Saint Nick" is also missing, and may be either their last hope or their executioner. It's the last hand, and this time The Hawk is out of cards to play.

Lane Palmer has been fighting terrorists for years, leaving his marker, the hawk playing card. Called out of retirement by FBI Chief Pat O'Neill, Lane includes his wife Nancy, another former FBI agent, and his loyal Nez Perce Indian friend, Tom Redhorse, on the Hawk's strike team. The Hawk must stop a spreading network of Al Qaeda sleeper cells, a planned germ warfare attack at a packed football stadium, and track down the elusive bomb carrier. Lane and his team are assisted by a mysterious pair of allies. One carries a strange "cue stick" weapon. Rand has returned, but refuses to reveal if he is of earthly or alien origin. Meanwhile, strange calls from someone naming themselves "Eagle" lead Lane, Nancy and Tom on the hunt. No agency claims this agent, yet his leads are accurate, and he seems to be a friend.

C., facing criminal charges and possible life imprisonment, he is instead recruited by a U. S. Rangers Colonel who recognizes Palmer's unique survival instinct and deadly skills. Fearless in battle, and with no mission too dangerous, the recruit fights on risking himself and others in order to win, or die. The legend of "The Hawk" is born.

An FBI agent is murdered on a snowcovered mountain in Idaho. Retired Agent Lane Palmer recovers a courier valise with evidence of a secret organization in Washington involving powerful government leaders operating in drugs, oil, organized crime and directing terrorists. The evidence is stolen when FBI Director Pat O'Neill is shot, and President Armstrong asks Palmer to find the valise, and who killed the agent. Palmers' search leads him across the country, from the border with Mexico to reservations in North Dakota and Idaho, and the forests of Montana. Hindering his search is a spy in his own department, who informs the organization of his every move. Lane gets help from an old friend, Washington Post reporter Levi Walstein, whose fast talk and jokes sometimes gets him in trouble.
