To vaccinate or not vaccinate, that’s the question when it comes to our children and Covid-19. While the controversy has been huge, we discuss the evidence and data on early Covid treatment in everyone and also infections, morbidity, and risk to kids from infections as well as vaccines. At the time of this interview, rates of myocarditis in healthy young adults are now being correlated with the vaccine.The CDC confirmed at least 226 confirmed cases of myocarditis, have been reported in people under 30 who got the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines. How will this impact our children short term and long term? Take a listen to this highly respected researcher whose specialty is interpreting studies, aka “Evidence Based Medicine” Our guest this week is Dr. Paul Alexander. He received his bachelor’s degree in epidemiology from Toronto, Ontario, a master’s degree from Oxford University, and a PhD from McMaster University’s Department of Health Research Methods, Evidence, and Impact. He has also studied at Johns’ Hopkins University. He has studied bioterrorism, advised the Canadian Government and also worked with WHO in 2008 until recently. From 2017 until December 2019, Alexander was employed by the Washington, D.C.-based Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA), where he specialized in systematic reviews. At IDSA, Alexander worked on several clinical practice guidelines. He served in an advisory role with Health and Human Services (HHS) under President Trump in 2020.
