Looking back on our medical journey, Tim and I reflect on what brought us to Medicine. Tim comes from a medical family where his father was an independent GP, doing OB/anesthesia/call/everything. He understood pretty early on that medicine wouldn’t be an easy path.  I got the science bug early on but didn’t come from a family of doctors, or anyone with a college education. The pressure was real, though. I remember blowing up stuff in my parent’s basement and loving science in general. Plus, I just really enjoyed medicine on TV and so it kind of became my label. The needle was sunk into my family’s viens more than mine: send me straight to university into pre-med.   This episode is personal. It’s honest.
