Ben is the author of several best-selling books- The Perfect Health Booklet, The Intermittent Fasting Cheat Sheet, The Power of Sleep, and most recently Keto Flex.  Ben is the founder of Keto Kamp. He is the go-to source for intermittent fasting and the ketogenic diet. He is known as ‘The Health Detective’ because he investigates dysfunction, and educates, not medicates, to bring the body back to normal function.  TAKE HOME POINTS:Keto Flexing is a novel approach to ketogenic nutrition which involves ketosis, fasting, and flexible food choices to optimize the health value of this strategy. Ketosis is a normal state in our bodies that we do less and less of because of the American diet, which forces us into the glucose side. So returning to ketosis is not a fad or a particular diet, but it's a way of living. It has health advantages compared to when we burn glucose.  For ketogenic diet we add fats and oils. It is best to avoid seed/vegetable oils. They are [3 C’s] canola oil, corn oil, cottonseed oil, [3 S’s] soybean oil, sunflower oil, safflower oil, and two others rice bran oil and grapeseed oil. They're very unstable and highly inflammatory.
