We've all done it.  We meet someone, we like them, we get attached, we start dreaming, we start trying to make them ours, and we do all this before we even truly know if we want them or not. 
When we struggle being alone and feel a scarcity around the potential for love, we respond to that by having unrealistic expectations for ourselves, others, and relationships as a whole.  This causes us to act out in desperate or unattractive ways and ultimately destroy the opportunities of love that do come into our lives while simultaneously limiting and the quality and quantity of love interests available to us.
