When getting started writing, it’s important to understand what type of writer we are. Are we the chaotic type? The orderly type? It’s important because, in the end, we need to find the sweet spot between order and chaos. You can’t plan everything from A to Z because it will stifle your creativity and suck out the joy of writing. On the other hand, you can’t simply wing it because you will produce incoherent, inconsistent material. When creating a process for yourself, you need to respect who you are and your predispositions without giving up to your primal instincts.
