Description

In tonight's Tehilim shiur (3/18/20 at YBT) we learned the entirety of Tehilim 117 - the shortest perek in the entire sefer, consisting of only two pesukim. Our analysis began flowing from the text itself (which we analyzed like a Mishlei pasuk, since it was so short), and was strengthened by the Radak's commentary. We then went back and reviewed the sequence of Hallel from 113 through 117 and arrived at a pretty good understanding of the progression. We concluded with a review of 116 in an effort to review and refine our ideas from last time. Unfortunately, we won't be able to learn the final chapter of Hallel together before Pesach (nor will we be able to learn the chapter of Hallel ha'Gadol). That will have to wait until after Pesach. If you're interested in our shiurim on all the other parts of Hallel, here are the links:Tehilim 113 Part 1: https://www.buzzsprout.com/1603909/7217941Tehilim 113 Part 2: https://www.buzzsprout.com/1603909/7217977Tehilim 114 Part 1: https://www.buzzsprout.com/1603909/7217986Tehilim 114 Part 2: https://www.buzzsprout.com/1603909/7217998Tehilim 115: https://www.buzzsprout.com/1603909/8111853Tehilim 116 Part 1: https://www.buzzsprout.com/1603909/8127726Tehilim 116 Part 2: https://www.buzzsprout.com/1603909/8155032----------מקורות:תהלים קיז עם פירוש הרד"ק והמאירי ----------If you missed the crash-course on "How to Learn Tehilim," here are links to the YouTube video, the podcast episode, and the written version. Here's another article I wrote entitled How TO and How NOT to Apply Tehilim to Your Life.Lastly, here's an article I wrote entitled How to Say Tehilim for the Sick Without Violating Halacha. ----------If you have questions, comments, or feedback, I would love to hear from you!
