Description
Gina and Vincent Centauro found their calling after they transitioned from their family contracting business to form Rescuing Families, Inc. The married couple spearheads home renovations with the help of family and volunteers in Long Island, NY at no cost to disabled families. Gina, a licensed contractor, interior & landscape designer, has devoted her life to caring for her sister Dina, who is deaf and autistic. Vincent was an EMT with the Fire Department of NY who also cared for his ailing father before he became a contractor. But 5 years ago the Centauros felt it wasn’t enough for them to just build homes and fix them. In this episode, they talk about how they formed and grew their non-profit, specific efforts to give back during the pandemic and share how they combined the two things they were most passionate about - building and helping families in need.
