Description
The time has come for that most important of transitions for HSD students: high school graduation. Our graduation ceremonies are always such amazing and special events where we celebrate all our seniors have accomplished throughout their K-12 education. We are thrilled to be able to offer more “traditional” graduation events for our comprehensive high schools in addition to a drive-through option to meet the needs of all students and families.
Because Washington County has remained in the “Lower Risk” category for COVID-19, we are able to offer students who selected the in-person option up to six tickets each for family, friends, and other guests. Groups of seats will be at least six feet apart from each other, allowing for the physical distancing that is still required. Masks are not required to be worn, but are still recommended for people who are unvaccinated or who have underlying medical conditions, and for everyone if they are in crowds or are otherwise unable to maintain six feet of distance between themselves and others. We ask that everyone attending the graduation events arrive on time; be prepared to follow all staff instructions, physical barriers, and informational and directional signage; and depart promptly afterward. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we work to ensure the events are as fun and safe as possible for all involved.
Both the in-person and drive-through events will be live streamed, so those who cannot attend can still watch the proceedings. We will also create videos for each school that contain footage from both events; those should be available by the end of June. For graduation dates and times, links to the live streams, graduation coordinator contact information for each high school and more, please see hsd.k12.or.us/graduation and hsd.k12.or.us/graduationschedule.
