In the Women's comp, USA 7-20 France and the Blacks Ferns 41-0 Ireland in their Cup semi-finals. The Finals results: All Blacks 7s 38-0 Blitzboks and the Black Ferns 35-0 France. Earlier in the day, Fiji Men won bronze 29-5 France. Samoa 24-12 Ireland for fifth place after earlier beating Australia 10-24. Invitation side Tonga had another big day beating HSBC 7s Series regulars Canada 14-35, Kenya 24-26 and just losing to Argentina 21-19. In tennis – Novak Djkovic has won the Australian Open title a record 10th time, beating third seed Stephanos Tsitsipas in their final last night, 6-3 7-6 7-5, reclaiming the world No.1 ranking and drawing level with Rafael Nadal on 22 grand slam singles titles. Djokovic pulled through brutal conditions and injury scares on a court that has so often seen him achieve the seemingly unachievable in a country that deported him ahead of last year’s event.
