Description
Bula and welcome to TeivovoRugby.com – “Breakafast Bites” – a wrap of daily sports highlights for Monday 13 June 2022. This morning we start with a huge CONGRATULATIONS to Fiji’s top rugby Referee, Tevita Rokovereni who has been confirmed by World Rugby as a match official for the Rugby World Cup 7s 2022, in Cape Town South Africa from 9-11 September. Also to be CONGRATULATED is Suliasi Vunivalu – the NRL Premiership winner with the Storm and Fiji Bati flyer has been named in the Wallabies squad to play England down under. With so many All Blacks playing in both the Super Rugby Pacific Semifinals last weekend, they effectively served as great trials for the All Blacks squad to be named later today. The Crusaders could provide the bulk of the squad, but the challenge for Coach Ian Foster and New Zealand is – to select a champion team or a team of stars? In football - Australia and Peru battle it out at 4pm today at Al Rayyan Stadium Qatar for one of the final two spots remaining at the FIFA World Cup later this year. The winner qualifies in Group D along with France, Denmark and Tunisia. The loser waits four long years like Italy. Argentine Mauricio Pochettino is set to leave his role as Paris Saint-Germain Head Coach after the two parties came to a financial agreement over the terms of his exit one year early for US$17Million. That’s about the same as what he got after Tottenham also sacked him early. Smart Puma. Don’t forget, you can catch game 5 of the NBA Finals at 1pm today on Sky and if Steph Curry throws you his jersey, hang on to it - the yellow LA Lakers No. 8 jersey Kobe Bryant wore in two playoff games in his rookie NBA season 1996-97 against the Utah Jazz, sold for US$2.7Million at auction last week. In boxing – undisputed Aussie champ, Tim Tszyu’s dream of a world title shot is close now after an agreement was struck for him to fight undisputed World Super Welterweight Champion Jermell Charlo. Finally today – Ric Flair - the Nature Boy, remember him? One of WWE wrestling’s most iconic figures. So now FOX Sports and the WWE are working on a two-hour video documentary about his life and times, which should be very interesting - and raunchy! Ric Flair has never been shy claiming how many women he rastled with – er bedded, whatever during his many years of fame – 10,000 by his count!!! So maybe it’s a WWE FOX SEX video? For TEIVOVO Sports – I’m Culden Kamea, Malo, vina’a and thank you!
