Description

Malo  and welcome to Season 3 Episode 65 of Breakfast Bites, by  TeivovoSports.com – a wrap of Pasifika Peoples sports on a cloudy but  bright Sunday morning 04 December 2022, coming to you from paradise on  the 180th meridian in the middle of the Pacific Ocean ! In  the FIFA World Cup Last 16 knockout games in Qatar today: Team USA has  been sent home by the Netherlands 3-1 USA, while Australia was also  knocked out 2-1 by Argentina. Tomorrow in Qatar we tip France to pulitzer Poland and Senegal to sanatoza England. FIFA will pay out US$440 million in prize money at the World Cup in Qatar. In contrast FIFA paid out only US$30M at  the Women’s World Cup 2019. After the US Women’s Team won a lawsuit for  equal pay with US Soccer, superstar Megan Rapinoe said to FIFA, “You  know what? You’re next.” In rugby union – Australian  Women won the Emirates Dubai 7s title with a 26-19 victory over their  closest rivals New Zealand. Meanwhile, South Africa’s Men made it four  Dubai titles in a row with a 21-5 win over Ireland. Fiji Men finished  9th and Fijiana lost their quarterfinal to Australia. In  rugby league – Toa Samoa international, Keenan Palasia rejected a  two-year extension offered by the Broncos as too little too late and has  instead taken up the Titans offer of A$300,000 a season — A$100,000  more per season than what the Broncos were offering. In  boxing – The Gypsy King proved too fast, too big and too strong for  Derek Chisora with the Referee stopping the fight in the 10th round at a packed out Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London this morning with Chisora dead on his feet.
