More than 185 rugby players are suing World Rugby and the national rugby unions of England and Wales for negligence and failing to protect players from permanent injury, claiming that playing rugby caused brain damage.Their action which started in a Court in London yesterday has global ramifications for the game. Roberts said he would comment further later in the week, but said last night: "It hasn't totally shocked me like it's shocking everyone else. As an older gay man, I'm used to this. I expected there would be some sort of religious pushback." In cricket - Sam Northeast scored 410 not out for Glamorgan v Leicestershire in a four-day match in division two of the English County Championship on Saturday. It is just the 11th individual score of 400-plus in the history of first-class cricket and is the highest score of the 21st century. West Indian legend Brian Lara holds the record with a score of 501 against Durham in 1994. Meanwhile in the under-siege All Blacks camp – Head Coach Ian Fuzzy Foster has announced in a statement that after "robust and in-depth conversations" he has sacked his Assistants John Plumtree and Brad Mooar and the Crusaders forwards coach, Jason Ryan will join the All Blacks Coaching team. Sorry but this is all a bit like re-arranging the deck chairs AFTER the Titanic has hit the iceberg! Fuzzy Foster says he has a feel for his players etc but I must confess every time I see him talking on TV he reminds me of Chauncey Gardner – now there's one for you trivia nuts!
