As much as I emphasize, valuing yourself and loving yourself, I also want to emphasize that the moment that you allow anyone especially a man to treat you less than you are, you have lost because you cannot take that image away ever again. The amount of times that I’ve allowed myself to devalue myself in front of a man has been the times where I lost myself the most. It cost me so much time and healing to get back to who I once was and who I am today. Life is way too short to have to deal with someone who truly doesn’t love you, love doesn’t hurt and you are not your past.
