In this episode of Chasing the Insights, I talk to Denis Sklyarov and Gary Bogatin from WiFi Map. Denis and Gary talk to us about their journey into Web3. Denis Sklyarov came from humble beginnings in Ukraine, washing cars to co-founding (and COO) Wifi Map in 2012. WiFi Map is a mobile product with 13,000,000 active users worldwide. Since 2014 the application has been downloaded more than 150 million times, and today more than 4,000,000 people a month use the WiFi Map application. In many ways, thanks to the perseverance and desire for the success of the founders themselves. WiFi Map works with America's top telecommunications companies and actively develops VPN and eSim directions for its users. Gary Bogatin started trading in 1999 for Worldco as a proprietary trader with a 1 million dollar account and quickly grew it into a 20 million dollar portfolio. By the end of his tenure there, he was consistently ranked as a top 5 trader in the firm out of 800 traders. From there, he created his own broker-dealer and even negotiated a 150 million dollar line of credit for the firm from GSEC (Goldman Sachs Clearing dept.).
