The New York Yankees drop another game to the Twins, 6-2 which means they have lost a season series to the Twins for the first time since George W. Bush was President. That snaps a 20-year streak for the Yankees. On Tuesday, Nestor Cortes was good until he wasn’t and in the end he gave up four runs—three earned and picked up the loss. The offense actually scored first, blew the lead and then lost the game. We discuss if/what the Yankees can do in the meanwhile to ignite a spark and if it means possibly cutting Franchy Cordero loose. We also talk about how he’s done so far and who could replace him if they can’t wait for Harrison Bader’s return. We also preview the pitching matchup in the finale on Wednesday in which the Yankees will try and prevent a sweep at the hands of the Twins. Domingo Germán makes the start and it will be intriguing to see if he gets himself into any sticky situations in Target Field.
