The New York Yankees lost to the Toronto Blue Jays, 3-0 in 10 innings, thanks to a walk-off home run by Danny Jansen. The game was pretty quiet leading up to that moment as both teams’ starters and relievers shut down the offenses for the first nine and a half innings. Gerrit Cole pitched a gutty six innings with six strikeouts against Chris Bassit, who lasted seven with seven strikeouts. Stacey and Steve wonder if Aaron Boone made a couple of questionable decisions in this one and discuss whether or not they’d do things differently. Then they update you on all of the injured Yankees players, including Luis Severino, who will be with the big club and starting on Sunday in Cincinnati thanks to Domingo Germán’s 10-game suspension. Then Stacey and Steve are joined once again by Craig Ballard of Locked On Blue Jays to preview the final game of the series between Nestor Cortes and Jose Berríos.
