The New York Yankees had a busy Thursday, which culminated in the evening around 8:45 P.M. when it was revealed that they had worked out a two-year deal with starter Marcus Stroman. Stacey and Steve discuss the signing which happened rather quickly and was revealed by Stroman first, who posted a photoshopped picture of himself in Yankees pinstripes on his Instagram stories and then confirmed by the baseball media a few minutes later. Stacey and Steve also discussed where they see Stroman fitting in the rotation. Then, the Yankees did not have to go to arbitration with any of the 10 players who needed to finalize deals before Thursday’s deadline. The big one was newly acquired Juan Soto, who will be getting $31M in 2024, up from $23M in 2023. Gleyber Torres also got a nice pay bump, and so did Clay Holmes. And the Yankees also signed Luke Weaver to a $2M deal. Plus, what are the rumors still surrounding the Yankees? Did they offer Blake Snell a contract? What about the White Sox and Dylan Cease?
