Despite the uncertainties, the Cougars still have one of the most talented backcourts in the country, thanks to recent transfers.
UH has gained two impactful transfers in Temple's Damian Dunn and Baylor's LJ Cryer, who together averaged 30.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, and five assists per game last season. This addition could address the inconsistency Houston faced in the backcourt. Although UH excelled in several categories like offensive and defensive efficiency and opponent's effective field goal percentage, they struggled with three-point shooting, ranking 174th among all Division I teams with a 34 percent success rate.
