National college football analyst Josh Pate put out a list Friday, ranking the Big 12 football programs. Of the 16 teams, Baylor finished 14th, only ahead of BYU and Cincinnati. While the Bears struggled to a 3-9 record last season, they are certainly not as bad a program as Pate wants you to think.

Both basketball teams picked up easy wins this weekend, highlighted by Sunday's women's basketball festivities when the program retired Brittney Griner's #42 to the Foster Pavilion rafters in an emotional ceremony. For the men, the improved play of their guards might just elevate them to a championship level.
