West Virginia got a key player back ahead of the 2023-24 college basketball season with Jose Perez leaving the transfer portal and returning to Morgantown and new head coach Josh Eilert. Perez was unable to suit up last year due to an NCAA waiver getting denied, and seeing how he does this upcoming season will be a huge part of how the Mountaineers perform in the Big 12.
Marcus Adams Jr. left Kansas and quickly committed to Gonzaga, where he will be an excellent developmental piece for Mark Few and the Zags. Adams is the latest in a growing trend of high school players decommitting, a list that includes Mackenzie Mgbako, Ron Holland, and Simeon Wilcher.
