In this episode, we speak with Youtube vlogger, published author, and mom of two, Bianca, a.k.a. “Sweet Mama”, about going through a toxic relationship which led to her journey towards self-love. She also talks about life as a mom, the essence of spiritual growth, the significance of communication and honesty in a relationship, and how the right person would accept us for who we really are. When there’s a will, there’s a way, and that’s definitely one thing I wanna pass on to my kids; it’s willpower, because you have to have that in life.” [6:00] Toxic Relationship “What led me to my self-love journey was I came out of a toxic relationship. He was obsessed with me. It got to the point of, you know, him trying to get physical with me; abusive.” [11:15] True Colors “My dad is very loving to me, and I have a great relationship with my dad. He showed me what love is, so I knew that that’s not how I was supposed to be treated by a man.” [13:50] After the Toxicity “It took me a good while. I would say like four and a half years to actually be able to love again, because first, I had to love myself and accept the fact that that wasn’t my fault.” [20:23] Discovering Who You Are “You attract what you are. Things that you’re putting in your head, things that you tell your mind, your mind starts believing.” [24:30] A Step to Happiness “Whatever God you pray to, everybody, I’m talking to everyone, getting a stronger relationship with Him, or a higher power, that helped a lot.” [29:19] Cultivating the Relationship “It also means accepting; Accepting the fact that you have to let your wall down, that you have to break that barrier, and you have to be transparent, because it has to come from both ways.” [34:37] Love Language “That’s how you know you’ve found that ‘one’, because they’re gonna do things just because it makes you happy.” [45:44] Giving. Giving. Giving. “We wonder why we feel empty, why we feel depressed, why we feel mentally just out of it, like we have nothing more to give; because we were so busy giving our energy away that we weren’t getting anything in return.” [54:57] Role in a Relationship “Being feminine is a good thing.
