Description
The Cincinnati Bengals' season-opening loss to Pittsburgh is one to forget.
However, that game and the subsequent 0-2 start has fueled the Bengals to rebound with a 5-4 record coming out of the bye. Quarterback Joe Burrow has led Cincinnati to a top-10 offense so far through the first 10 weeks of the season.
Yet that five-turnover game he had against Pittsburgh was one of the worst, if not the worst, performances of his career. Although the Steelers are anything but glamorous with a 3-6 record, they could have safety Minkah Fitzpatrick return from an appendectomy.
Defensive end J.J Watt will certainly be back after picking off Burrow and sacking him in Week 1 before going out with a pectoral injury. His performance was part of a seven-sack effort from his fellow edge rushers in the season-opening overtime win for Pittsburgh.
Still without Ja'Marr Chase, the Bengals will head to the Steel City hoping to seek that first and elusive divisional win of the 2022 season. But how will Cincinnati's offense respond coming out of the bye?
The Strictly Stripes crew revisits and assess that Week 1 loss and what it means moving forward:
How much will Fitzpatrick's presence or absence affect the game?
Can the Bengals' offensive line redeem itself on Sunday?
Are the Bengals meeting the expectations of a top-10 offense on paper?
Plus, the crew continues examining whether Burrow can still make a case for being league MVP down the stretch
This podcast features Mohammad Ahmad and Andrew Gillis.
