Description

Bruce Cassidy's patience is wearing thin with his team. He isn't using VGK's growing injury as a crutch, but rather he is still upset about the Golden Knights compete level with the players he has on the ice each night. Last night he called the team "passengers" in the team's 3-2 loss to the Red Wings, as VGK fell for a third straight game. They have little or no offense. There has been a lack of aggression and VGK needs a full team effort. Prior to the game, Jonathan Marchessault called for a 20-man effort. But it was a lot less than that. VGK fell behind for a 9th time in ten games by giving up an opening goal. Cassidy told our Chris Gawlik the team isn't physical enough and they are not getting inside near the net. Cassidy called out Jack Eichel by saying he was a driving force earlier in the season and his "expectations are not being met." VGK plays a back to back this weekend vs Washington in Las Vegas and at Arizona on Sunday night. It's also time for What The Friday! One of Tony's takes is that VGK has gone through three coaches in six years. Cassidy seems to be the right fit. Sooner or later it will fall on GM Kelly McCrimmon to change the roster composition to get player's that fit Cassidy's system.
