Description
Today, with Richard Portes, Professor of Economics at London Business School, we discuss the economic impact we're seeing as a result of Covid-19, and the specific implications this has for the wine world.
Originally from Chicago, a Rhodes Scholarship brought Richard to Oxford University in the UK. In 1983, he founded an organization called the Centre for Economic Policy Research, a network of mainly academic economists whose objective is to promote collaboration in research and dissemination among both academics and policy makers.
Richard's academic, research and policy achievements are numerous, and he's currently deeply involved in EU financial stability policymaking. He took time out of his busy schedule to talk to us about the pandemic economy and how this is much different than that of previous recessions, with an unprecedented outlook for a "return to normalcy."
