Description

This week Danielle is joined by TWO special guests: twin nurses, Sarah and Jenna! They talk about getting into navy nursing, their first station duty in Virginia, plus what it’s like to leave the navy. We learn about their dream to open up their own med spa, their background in a military and nursing family, and their craziest experiences on shift, including a surprise delivery and ingested magnets. D, Sarah, and Jenna chat stories from their days in school, including showing up late to class with Starbucks (we’ve all been there). They also talk about all things twin: they’re each other’s biggest cheerleaders and two sides of the same coin — but they’re not the same person and certainly do not have the same taste in guys! Speaking of boys, the three quickly bond over their love for Tayshia as Bachelorette and we learn that the twins are working to be nurse practitioners. Good lucky ladies!!

The WoMed is a space to discuss, debate, and celebrate all things Women in Medicine! Danielle Maltby is joined by co-host Jackie Camardo to bring new issues and faces to light in the medical community. These nursing vets bring humor, reality, and a serious passion for the world around them to discussions on self-care, emerging healthcare trends, education, activism, patient stories, and pop culture representation of the industry. The hosts welcome not just women in medicine, but members of the LGBTQ communities in medicine as well, to ensure more people have a platform to amplify their voices. They are also joined by some of the industry’s biggest experts and thought-leaders! Nothing is off-limits, so listeners should come prepared to laugh, (maybe cry), and tune in to meaningful conversations that could change the way you see healthcare.
