Nisha Chittal is a journalist and social media strategist who is currently Manager of Social Media & Community at MSNBC. In this role, she leads and develop msnbc's social editorial strategy, audience growth and engagement, social TV integrations, and emerging platform strategy. She also writes and reports for MSNBC.com about politics, technology, and women's rights and feminism, and has appeared as a guest on Shift by MSNBC to discuss these topics. Prior to MSNBC, Nisha led social media at the Travel Channel in Washington, DC, and prior to that, she worked at digital agency MXM Social, advising a variety of brands on social and digital strategy. Most recently, she published an essay in the Amazon Kindle Serial "The 10 Habits of Highly Successful Women." She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
