Description

Did you know that you may have an addiction you didn't know about? Have you ever wondered why you find yourself gravitating to stressful situations that you KNOW are not healthy?
Growing up in my home, abuse and stressful situations were a daily norm. I was also taught at a young age that, "Idle hands were the devil's workshop." Combining the two, it wasn't until years after I had left home that I realized I was addicted to my own stress hormone, cortisol.

ALL PODCASTS WILL HAVE A TRIGGER WARNING! Hi, my name is Isami. I'm a former "missionary" kid who found God after leaving a religious cult. Growing up I was taught a "woman's place" in the kingdom of God was in the kitchen or as a doormat. After leaving the environment I was raised in, I learned that God had bigger plans for me. I've found healing through, therapy, relationships, and sharing my story of survival. I'm here to cook with the chaos and serve sandwich of religious trauma, mental health struggles, loaded with trigger warnings, straight from my anti misogynist kitchen. Enjoy!
