Nearly 15 years into a broken marriage, Pye Jirsa decided to create a framework for healthy relationships when his counselor said, “You’ve read every book on my shelf, I don’t know how to help you.” While photographing weddings, Pye collected anonymous data to help better understand the nature of healthy relationships. Simple points of behavior and interactions between the people that stood in front of his lens. Ten years of anonymous data and well over 500 case studies eventually laid the groundwork for a framework, book, and what we now call CVFT™ or Core Value Focused Therapy.
