Description
Boost Hospitality Facebook Competition
Season 5
Episode 3
It has now been 48 hours since the competition went live, and hopefully, because of the actions you have taken, you're up to date with the competition.
Today, I will show you how to get the competition in front of the right people. What I recommend you to do, is to share into 3-5 Facebook groups a day.
If you want to get it out to even more people, which is what today's episode is about, you can start using Facebook ads. What Facebook want, is that when you spend money with them, they just want to put it in front of people who like your page. But what I will show you, and by putting in a little bit more time into, is that you can create an audience that you can put your advert in front of.
Go to your Facebook page and in the top right-hand corner, there's a little drop-down, click on it and scroll down, and click Create Ads. It will load up a new page. This is what is called your power-editor. Click the hamburger-link (3 dots) and there are sub-options you can choose. Go to Audience Insights. When it loads up, the first thing you do is change the location from United States to United Kingdom.
What you're able to do with this, is that you're able to find an audience that would like your page because of the interests. For example, if you're a farmstay property, and you want to put people who might be interested in this, go to the demographics and go to interests, and put in farm. Then when it goes to the person you're going to target, you can put in behaviours, and here you can put in 'is a parent'. And you can even filter that more to, for example, 'parents of 3-5 year olds', etc.
Instead of going for all of the United Kingdom, you can look into where the majority of your customers are coming from and put the ad into people coming from those locations. Save the audience and then when you click boost, choose that audience.
The reason why you're going to do this, and the reason you're going to boost your post, is because Facebook gives more visibility to posts that have more traction on it. So, because we do this 48 hours after you've gone live, is so that your post already has likes and comments and therefore Facebook will show your post more.
