Description

ENG
In this episode we had the pleasure of interviewing one of our co-hosts, Erica Dorn. Erica chatted with us about her Ph.D. research and the fieldwork she is doing on issues involving free movement and co-created democracy. Erica's research has led to some of our previous podcast interviews with experts on migration, democracy, and the making of places baed on community building and relationality. For Erica, collaboration and collective learning are vital for the creation of these places that are in constant transformation. She focuses on American suburbs, specifically the suburb of Aurora in Colorado, as sites where migrant communities, processes of local democracy, and possibilities for future metamorphosis are at stake.

Audio production by Kyle Leve. Sofía Bosch Gómez and Alex Polzin interviewed Erica Dorn. Marysol Ortega and Silvana Juri crafted the Spanish commentary.
The production of this podcast was carried out with the support of the School of Design at Carnegie Mellon University.
